Pitched a 1-0 no-hit victory over Southwest State, striking out 14, then took a no-hitter into the seventh inning of his next start, a 7-0 victory over Minn-Morris.     640 465 DeHaven, Rod ROD DEHAVEN From Huron, SD 16 Time All-American 20 North Central Conference individual championships Rod was one of the all-time greats in North Central Conference cross country and track history. He became the first runner ever to win four NCC cross country championships. He was Outstanding Athlete at four different NCC championship track meets. Twice he anchored an SDSU team to victory in the distance Medley relay at the Drake Relays. He was NCAA Division I All-American in the mile at the 1986 indoor championships. He competed in the Olympic trials at Indianapolis in 1988. When he left SDSU, DeHaven held SDSU and all-time South Dakota collegiate records in the 800, 1:48.57; the 1500, 3:40.15, and the two-mile, 8:55.7. DeHaven won 7 NCC championships in the 1500, four outdoors and three indoors. And he was an Academic All-NCC selection twice.
