DeVries qualifies for IHSA National Finals

LAKE IN THE HILLS, Ill. -- South Dakota State University equestrian rider Kaylee DeVries qualified for the IHSA National Finals after placing second overall at the IHSA Zone 9 Finals this past weekend.

DeVries, a junior from Cedar Falls, Iowa, collected runner-up honors in the Individual Intermediate section, while sophomore Allison Carie placed fifth overall.

By collecting runner-up honors, DeVries will now compete at the IHSA National Finals on May 3-6 in Springfield, Mass. A start time has yet to be determined.

The South Dakota State University women's equestrian Western squad will next be in action at the Varsity Equestrian National Championships April 18-20 in Waco, Texas.
