Ned Gavlick joined the South Dakota State staff in January
2008 as the Jackrabbits annual fund coordinator, and then took over as ticket sales coordinator in October 2010.
Prior to joining the Jackrabbit staff, Gavlick served the assistant
general manager for the Sioux Falls Canaries of the American Association for
Independent Professional Baseball from 2005-07, where he handled corporate
Before coming to the Midwest, Gavlick worked as a corporate sales
executive from 2003-04 with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons of the International
Baseball League. He also brings experience from previous stops at the
Adirondack IceHawks in Glens Falls, N.Y., with the Pittsburgh Penguins as a
corporate sales intern.
A Wilkes-Barre, Pa., native, Gavlick grew up in Reading, Pa.
and went to the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated in 2001 with a
degree in business administration and political science.
