Jackrabbit Sports Network adds affiliates
South Dakota State University Athletics will receive statewide radio coverage with the addition of several stations to the Jackrabbit Sports Network.
Longtime broadcast partner WNAX 570 AM of Yankton continues
to serve as the flagship station for football and men's basketball, while
Brookings-based KJJQ 910 AM The Ranch resumes its role as the originating
station for women's basketball broadcasts. New this year, KJJQ 910 AM will pick
up football and men's basketball broadcasts, while WNAX 570 will again carry
the women's basketball broadcasts that don't conflict with men's games.
The number of affiliate markets has grown to five, including four in central and western South Dakota. Pierre-based KGFX 1060 AM and KRKI 99.5 FM of Rapid City have renewed their commitment to carry Jackrabbit games, while KBFS 1450 AM from Belle Fourche and Mobridge-based KOLY 1300 AM join the network this season for football broadcasts.
In addition, SDSU football and basketball contests will be heard in the Watertown area on either KWAT 950 AM or KDLO 96.9 FM.
"We are thrilled with the expansion of the Jackrabbit Sports Network," said Leon Costello, senior associate athletic director for external affairs. "The addition of these affiliate stations, along with WNAX and KJJQ, will give SDSU Athletics unprecedented coverage both locally and statewide. We are pleased to partner with these great South Dakota radio stations."
