Hy-Vee Fast Break Clinic set for Saturday
Due to the high number of participants, South Dakota State Athletics closed online registration for the Hy-Vee Fast break Basketball clinic scheduled for Saturday at Frost Arena.
Anyone still interested in attending can register in person on Saturday morning from 8-8:30 a.m. All participants must present an insurance card when registering. SDSU also asks that all participants bring a clean pair of shoes to wear on the arena floor.
The clinic starts at 8:30 a.m. and runs until approximately 10:30 a.m. The clinic provides instruction in basic basketball skills by men's basketball head coach Scott Nagy, women's head coach Aaron Johnston and other Jackrabbit coaches and SDSU student-athletes.
Following the clinic, all participants receive milk and cookies, and each participant receives a free Fast Break Clinic t-shirt and a general admission ticket Saturday's basketball doubleheader against IUPUI.
If parents wish to purchase tickets to the games, they can purchase them at the Jackrabbit Ticket Office on the first floor of the Stanley J. Marshall HPER Center from 10-11 a.m.
To date, 438 kids in grades K - 8 preregistered for the event.
The Jackrabbits play Summit League foe IUPUI on Saturday at Frost Arena. The women tipoff off at 5 p.m., with the men to follow at 7:30 p.m.
