Dana Dykhouse Day in South Dakota
Gov. Dennis Daugaard proclaimed today, Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, as Dana Dykhouse Day in South Dakota.
Dykhouse, CEO of First Premier Bank in Sioux Falls, graduated from SDSU in 1979 after earning three varsity letters on the Jackrabbit football team, earning honorable mention all-North Central Conference honors as a defensive tackle in 1978.
"It's easy to see Dana's impact at South Dakota State University, but his impact also resonates throughout the entire state," SDSU Director of Athletics Justin Sell said. "We're all really proud that he's part of our Jackrabbit family, and we congratulate him for this honor."
More recently at South Dakota State, Dykhouse served as chairman of the SDSU Athletics Champions Council and is a past chairman of the SDSU Foundation Board of Directors. In addition, he served as chairman of the Sioux Falls Development Foundation, the Sioux Empire United Way Campaign and Junior Achievement of South Dakota.
Dykhouse will be honored on Tuesday night at the Holiday Inn City Centre in Sioux Falls as the South Dakota Sales and Marketing Executive of the Year.
