FORT WORTH, Texas - The South Dakota State equestrian team took on TCU on Saturday in its final show of the season, and came up on the short end of a 15-3 event.
"This was one of the tougher opponents we came up against this year," SDSU head coach Megan Rossiter said. "It was a good opportunity for us to compete against top level riders."
The loss ends the Jackrabbits season with a 3-8 record, while the host Horned Frogs improve to 4-9.
SDSU scored two points in over fences, including an 86 for Santana Wright in over fences, which earned her MVP honors in that event. Meredith Sauer also scored a point for the Jacks in over fences with a score of 70.
The lone SDSU point on the western side came from freshman Lauren Kostello, who posted a 67-point ride in reining.
