Jackrabbit women finish tied for fifth

CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. - The South Dakota State women's golf team finished tied for fifth at the Augustana Spring Fling Invitational. The Jackrabbit women compiled a two-round score of 652 (318-334).

Brittany Hanten led the Jacks, firing a 157 (78-79) and finishing tied for eighth. Morgan Fitts carded a 162 (76-86) and finished tied for 14th. Alli Plath finished tied for 25th after shooting a 167 (80-87). Amber Houser tallied a 168 (86-82) and finished tied for 27th. Jordan Trohkimoinen registered a 174 (84-90) and finished tied for 43rd.

St. Edward's (Texas) won the 10-team event compiling a team score of 601 (306-295). Haley Haught of St. Edward's took medalist honors in the 58-player field with a score of 146 (74-72).

The Jackrabbit women play next at the Cowgirl Classic hosted by Wyoming on April 9.
