The Summit League named South Dakota State sophomore Hudson Carpenter to its second team all-league squad for the 2011-12 golf season. This marks the first all-league selection for the Stillwater, Minn., native, and the first award for a Jackrabbit since Nolan Meyer finished tied for third at the 2010-11 Summit League Championships and earned all-tournament team honors.

Carpenter played all 25 rounds in 2011-12, compiling an 18-hole scoring average of 74.26. He totaled six top-25 finishes, with three top-10 finishes, including a season-best third place finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational where he fired a 209 (71-67-71) and finished 7-under par.

First team all-league consists of Michael Davan, Michael Powell and Rob van de Vin of IUPUI, David Holtgrewe of Oral Roberts and Korbin Kuehn of UMKC. The rest of the golfers named to the second team include Shannon Allen of Oral Roberts, Cole Chelle of UMKC, Ben Engle of IUPUI and Jeff Evans of Southern Utah.
