Inside the Summit League premiers
The new "Inside The Summit League" television show premiers Wednesday night, Aug. 22, and airs before a national audience on Thursday evening, Aug. 23. Throughout the academic year, viewers can see the 30-minute show on Midco Sports Network at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fox College Sports (Central) at 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursdays.
Hosted by Tom Nieman, "Inside The Summit League" is a 30-minute weekly sports television magazine that includes highlights, news and features from The Summit League and its nine member institutions. The program will review and preview games and provide feature stories on student-athletes and coaches from across the league. Segments will also include "insiders" and news and notes from around the league. In addition, a weekly "Campus Spotlight" will profile the happenings on campuses across the league.
The debut episode includes a preview of the volleyball season as well as a women's soccer preview and recap of the first weekend of competition. This week's show also includes a visit to Fort Wayne and the campus of IPFW.
Midco Sports Network is available in South Dakota, North Dakota and parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Fox College Sports is available to approximately 60 million homes nationally and includes the FCS Central channel that will air the show on a weekly basis. Cable and Direct TV subscribers can locate the FCS Central channel number by using the online channel finder.
"Inside The Summit League" episodes will also be available on Fridays via The Summit League website.
