South Dakota State center Will Castle has been named Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week for his performance in the Jackrabbits' win at Southeastern Louisiana on Sept. 8.

A senior from Brandon, Castle was the highest-graded Jackrabbit offensive lineman, helping clear the way for a 305-yard team rushing performance — the highest in a game by the Jackrabbits since 2007. He played in 68 of the team's 74 offensive plays, earning a team championship grade of 1.84.

South Dakota State, 1-1 overall, opens the home portion of its schedule Saturday afternoon against UC Davis. Kickoff for the 17th Annual Cereal Bowl is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium.
