The new graduate assistant coach for the men's and women's golf teams is Eric Hodgson. Eric is a late addition to the program this fall because previous GA Rachel Hanigan accepted a highly-sought after golf management position in Arizona.
The Marietta, Ga.-native brings with him four years of collegiate golf experience and a broad range of knowledge when it comes college golf, swing mechanics and academics.
After spending his first two years at Young Harris College where he posted a a 73.3 scoring average, Eric transferred to University of the Cumberlands. He consistently held a top-five roster spot and helped Cumberlands with nine straight conference titles while holding down a top-five ranking in the NAIA. His work in the classroom earned him two Academic All-American honors and he was also a two-time Academic All-Conference selection.
Eric graduated from University of the Cumberlands in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in business administration and minor in political science.
