Brookings, S.D. — In their final tune-up before the Summit League Championships the Jackrabbits will be competing at the Chile Pepper Invite this Saturday (Oct. 13) in Fayetteville, Ark.

Last time out:

The Jackrabbits did not compete last week, but two weeks ago they were at the highly competitive Griak Invitational. The men saw a strong outing from Michael Krsnak who finished fifth overall to help lead the team to a seventh place finish. Tera Potts finished 71^st at the invite and led the women to a 15^th place finish.

About the Chile Pepper Invite:

This is the 24^th annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival, which takes place in Fayetteville, Ark.

The men will be running a 10k, which beings at 9:45 a.m., this is the first 10k for the men this season. The women will be running a 6k, which begins about 10:30 a.m., awards are scheduled to be handed out at 11:05 a.m.

The meet will consist with about 30 colleges and universities in the men’s and women’s race.

A few notable teams competing are: Arkansas, LSU, Nevada, Oklahoma State University, Oral Roberts University, TCU, Texas Tech University.

It all leads up to October 27^th, the championships. The Jackrabbits will have next weekend off as they prepare for the Summit League Championships in Rochester, Mich.
