ELMHURST, Ill. - For the second week in a row, The Summit League named South Dakota State point guard Nate Wolters its player of the week.

Wolters collected his 10th career award, giving him the second-highest total on record, after averaging 20.2 points, 7.0 assists and 6.2 rebounds per game during the week. He recorded a pair of double-doubles at the 2K Sports Classic benefitting Wounded Warrior Project.

"I thought Nate had another outstanding weekend, and continues to give us what we need," head coach Scott Nagy said. "He's an incredibly unselfish player, and as our other players get more comfortable with their new roles, he wont have to carry so much of the load offensively and he'll begin to see his assists totals rise even higher."

A senior from St. Cloud, Minn., Wolters started the week with a 22-point, nine assist night in a home-opening win over Tennessee State on Tuesday. He then opened the 2K Sports Classic with 25 points and a career-high 10 rebounds against Hofstra on Friday.  The following day against Marshall, he scored 22 points and dished out 10 assists. Wolters also averaged two steals per game during the week and compiled a 3.5 assist/turnover ratio.

In addition to earning the weekly honor from The Summit League, CollegeSportsMadness.com named Wolters its player of the week as well.

Wolters and the Jackrabbits return to action on Wednesday, when they host Southwest Minnesota State at Frost Arena. The Jacks and Mavericks tip-off at 7 p.m.
