South Dakota State wrestling head coach Chris Bono is in the 32-man bracket for Midlands All-Time Greatest Wrestler.

Northwestern University set up a bracket of the best 32 wrestlers to ever compete at the Midlands Championships.

To qualify for the bracket, wrestlers had to meet at least one of the following criteria:

Four or more Midlands championships
Three or more Midlands championships and Ken Kraft Champion of Champions award
Two or more Midlands championships and Triple Crown (Midlands plus two of NCAAs, Worlds and Olympics)
One or more Midlands championships and Grand Slam (Midlands plus NCAAs, Worlds and Olympics)

The criteria yielded a bracket of 32 wrestlers, split into four groups by weight classes.

Coach Bono won four Midlands championships (1997, 1999, 2000, 2008), as well as Sunkist Kids and NCAA championship.

Voting for the first round ends Dec. 12.
