OMAHA, Neb. -- Natalie Renshaw and Jenna Foiles each claimed three individual races and swam on a winning relay, leading Nebraska-Omaha to a 166-122 victory over South Dakota State in a women's swimming and diving dual Saturday afternoon.
The Mavericks opened the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay as the team of Renshaw, Maddie Hutt, Foiles and Whitney Korgan posted a winning time of 1 minute, 49.63 seconds.
Renshaw later won the 100 backstroke in 59.34 seconds, then swept the freestyle sprints with respective winning times of 24.59 and 53.20 seconds.
Foiles won the 200 backstroke in 2:13.20, then swept the butterfly events by winning the 100 in 59.05 seconds and the 200 in 2:11.86.
For South Dakota State, junior Andrea Budahl was a two-time winner. She took the 500 freestyle by more than four seconds with a winning time of 5:14,49, followed by a victory in the 400 individual medley in 4:44.14.
Emma Gaulke-Janowski added to the Jackrabbits' success in the distance events by winning the 1,000 freestyle by more than 11 seconds over teammate Kelsey Boucher with a time of 10:49.12.
Also winning for the Jackrabbits was freshman diver Olivia Olesiak, who won the 1-meter competition with a score of 198.67.
Hutt added two individual wins for the Mavericks, claiming both breaststroke events - 1:06.20 in the 100-yard race and 2:22.75 in the 200.
The Jackrabbits return to action Jan. 5 at the Tampa Relays.
