BROOKINGS, S.D. -- The South Dakota State men's swimming and diving team defeated Iowa Central 130-75 on Friday night at the HPER Center Pool.
The men won 14 of the 16 events on their way to victory.
Junior diver Clark Kocourek broke the school record in the 1-meter diving for the second meet in a row. Kocourek won the event with a score of 345.67. Kocourek also won the 3-meter dive with a score of 302.85.
On Senior Night, Senior diver Brad Schoreit qualified for NCAA Zones in the 1-meter diving with a score of 309.16. Schoreit finished the 3-meter diving with a score of 293.18.
Patrick won the 50 breaststroke in 28.17 seconds and the 500 freestyle in a time of 4:55.33.
Ochsner won the 50 butterfly in 23.85 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 53.96 seconds.
Alex McLain won the 1,000 freestyle in a time of 10:18.63.
Phil Albu won the 50 backstroke in 24.66 seconds.
Wil Hogue won the 50 freestyle in 21.51 seconds.
Blake Yeager won the 100 freestyle in 48.36 seconds.
Ben Bolinske won the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:02.27.
Yann Desjardins won the 200 individual medley in a time of 1:02.27.
The 200 medley relay of Albu, Patrick, Ochsner and Hogue won with a time of 1:36.65.
The men's swimming and diving team will take on the University of North Dakota tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the Jackrabbits final home meet of the season.
