NEW ORLEANS – Both South Dakota State men’s and women’s cross country teams have earned All-Academic status, announced on Monday (Feb. 25) by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Jackrabbit men were one of 145 teams that earned the honor; they had a team grade point average of 3.306.
The Jackrabbit women were also honored with the award. SDSU was one 200 teams to be named to the list. The Jacks had a team grade point average of 3.556.
To make the USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better and at least start five runners in their respective NCAA regional championship.
