Jacks show strong in Sioux Falls
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Jackrabbits wrapped up day one of Howard Wood Dakota Relays with soild results across the board. Ryan Ackman placed second in the hammer throw.
Ackman finished second in the hammer throw with a distance of 172’ 10.00”. His mark was one inch shy of his personal best. Also in the hammer throw, Cullen Mack finished fourth. His mark of 166’ 9.00” is new personal best by 5’ 1.00”.
Mack also finished seventh in the discus throw with a mark of 132’ 6.00”.
In the javelin throw, Cory Greenway placed third with a distance of 154’ 7.00”.
In the 800-meter run, Dylan Slaba finished in 1:58.76.
Kipp Kinsley placed fifth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 15:07.68.
Jared Foote finished second in the 400-meter dash with his time of 49.04.
The Jackrabbits also set a small group of athletes to compete in the NDSU Tune-Up in Fargo, N.D.
Laron Broadway ran the 100-meter dash in 11.74.
In the 1500-meter run, Joel Reichow ran a personal best of 4:01.27; He finished second in the event.
Mark Gorsuch finished fourth in the men’s high jump with a height of 6’ 00.00”.
In the pole vault, Ryan Schaefer placed fourth with a height of 14’ 01.75”.
Jeremiah Ary won the long jump with a distance of 22’ 05.75”.
The Jackrabbits finished second, third and fourth in the men’s triple jump. Jake Sanderson recorded a distance of 45’ 06.50”, Ary placed third (45’ 4.50”) and Ryan Jorgenson took fourth with a mark of 43’ 01.75”.
Blair Seymour recorded a distance of 143’ 05.00” in the men’s javelin throw.
The Jackrabbits will be back in action again tomorrow at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays. The events start at 9 a.m. with the men’s long jump.
