Women's cross country takes fourth at SDSU Classic

The South Dakota State women’s cross country team finished fourth at their SDSU Classic on Friday night. Cheyanne Bowers (14th) was the top finisher for the Jacks with an overall time of 18:15.55.

Courtney Neubert and Jessica Eibs were the next two Jackrabbits cross the finish line with their times of 18:40.40 and 18:42.17. Neubert placed 23rd, while Eibs took 25th.

Alex Suhr ran a time of 19:05.05 to place 30th. 

Jenna Grossenburg and Laura Lawton finished back-to-back to place 32nd and 33rd, respectively. Grossenburg completed the 5k in 19:08.77, while Lawton ran a time of 19:10.82.

Bobbie McLaury clocked in at 19:16.26 to place 36th.

A handful of Jackrabbit alumni runners competed at the SDSU Classic. Danielle Burke (29th) was the highest finisher on the alumni side with her final time of 18:54.04.

The Jackrabbits are off until the Bradley Classic on Oct. 18. The Bradley Classic takes place in Peoria, Ill.
