Summit League showdown in Denver
The South Dakota State women’s soccer team is traveling to Denver, Colo. to face preseason favorite and unbeaten No. 14 Denver on Friday night. The Jackrabbits and Pioneers are the only unbeaten teams left in The Summit League. With the only two games left in conference play for each team, the winner is assured at least a share of the regular season title.
Game time is set for 7 p.m. (CDT) at CIBER Field.
SOUTH DAKOTA STATE 10-3-2
Denver is the only other team in The Summit League that has not lost a conference game. They have outscored their conference opponents 19-0.
The only loss of the year for Denver came at the hands of Nebraska by a final score of 2-1.
Kirsten Hamilton is leading The Summit League in assists (11), goals (10) and points (31). Cassidy Rey has only allowed six goals in 16 games this year; she also has a GAA of .46. Both marks are among the best in the conference.

The majority of the Jackrabbits’ offense has come in the second half of games. They are outshooting their opponents 113-56 and outscoring them 13-2 in the second half of games.
