BROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State used a 12-2 run early in the second half to record a 75-53 victory over North Dakota State in Summit League women’s basketball action Saturday in front of 2,225 fans in Frost Arena. The Jackrabbits recorded their 100th win in Summit League history and extended their home win streak to 17 games, the third-longest mark in SDSU history.
With the win, the 2013-14 Jackrabbits are the second team in school history to go undefeated at home (14-0) and the fourth team to finish unbeaten in Summit League home games (7-0). With IUPUI’s loss Saturday to Fort Wayne, SDSU clinches the top seed in the upcoming Summit League Championships, held March 8-11 in Sioux Falls.

Stevens scored six of her points as SDSU pulled away from a 29-29 tie to take a 41-31 lead with 14:07 remaining when she made the second of two foul shots.
The Jackrabbits, who shot only 31.3 percent (10 of 32) from the floor in the first half, shot 54.5 percent (12 of 22) in the second half. In addition to the strong field goal shooting performance, SDSU made 21 of 25 free throws in the second half.
