Reichow takes third in the 3,000-meter run
Also in the 3,000-meter run, Brendan Sage ran a personal-best time of 8:33.75. He finished sixth overall in the race.
In the weight throw event, Ryan Ackman and Cullen Mack finished back-to-back with their sixth- and seventh-place finishes. Ackman recorded a distance of 56 feet, 5 3/4 inches and Mack tossed a mark of 55-10 1/4. Both Ackman and Mack set personal-best marks in the event.
With their distances today, Ackman moves into third all-time at SDSU and Mack is now fifth.
LeAndre Kennedy qualified for the finals of the 60-meter dash. Kennedy posted a season-best time of 6.98 to finish fourth in the prelims.
Bo Arnold posted a personal-best time of 23.34 in the 200-meter dash.
In the 400-meter dash, both Marc Husman and Alex Wiemann advanced to the finals tomorrow. Husman qualified in sixth with his time of 50.50 and Wiemann posted a personal-best time of 50.99 to finish seventh.
Dylan Slaba led the Jackrabbits in 800-meter run with his final time of 1:59.13. He finished ninth overall.
Traxton Priebe qualified for the 60-meter hurdle finals. He clocked in for a time of 8.87 to finish eighth in the prelims.
Jeremiah Ary posted a distance of 22-7 in the long jump to place fourth.
In the pole vault event, Nathaniel Schaefer finished eighth with his height of 14-11.
Bennett Mercil represented the Jackrabbits in the heptathlon competition. He started the day with a final time of 7.57 in the 60-meter dash. In the long jump event, Mercil posted a distance of 19-3.
Mercil’s top-finish on day one of the heptathlon came in the shot put. He took second overall in the event with his distance of 41-7. In final heptathlon event of the day, the high jump, Mercil cleared a height of 5-9 1/4. The heptathlon concludes tomorrow starting at 9:30 a.m. The 60-meter hurdles (9:30 a.m.), the pole vault (10:15 a.m.) and the 1,000-meter run (12:15 p.m.) are the final three events of the heptathlon.
