NABC honors Dykstra
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced on Wednesday the NABC Division I All-District teams for 2013-14, recognizing the nation’s best men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes.
South Dakota State senior forward Jordan Dykstra earned a place on the list as an NABC All-District 12 second team selection for his efforts during the season.
“We’re obviously proud to see Jordan get recognized by yet another organization, ” head coach Scott Nagy said. “We know how important he is to our basketball team, and it’s good to see that other coaches recognize that as well. He works hard, and deserves every honor that comes his way.”
Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America. The 252 student-athletes, from 25 districts, are eligible for the NABC Coaches’ Division I All-America teams.
A Rock Valley, Iowa native, Dykstra averages an even 16 points per game, and leads The Summit League with 7.7 rebounds per game and with nine double-doubles.
