DENVER, Colo. -- South Dakota State closed out its regular season with a 4-3 win over IUPUI. The Jacks and Jags played a day early due to pending weather in the Denver area.

"Today's match was all about grit and I am so proud of the way our boys fought," head coach Michael Engdahl said. "We came out extremely flat in doubles again and dug ourselves into a hole early.

After dropping the double's point, SDSU picked up individual wins by Andrea Boglic, Lovro Curcija, Henrique Pereira and Mateus Moreira.

Boglic battled to a 6-3, 7-5 win in the No. 1 position, while Pereira and Moreira won 6-2, 6-4 and 6-4, 6-3, respectively.

Curcija sealed the win for the Jacks with a tough 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 win in the No. 3 slot.

"Instead of backing down the boys rose to the occasion," Engdahl added. "It was a great win for us heading into the conference tournament.

SDSU will return to Denver for the Summit League tournament April 25-27.
