Wright invited to Titans' mini-camp

Defensive back Winston Wright became the third former South Dakota State football player to receive a free agent professional tryout as he was invited Sunday to participate in the Tennesee Titans' rookie mini-camp later this week.

A native of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Wright earned first-team all-Missouri Valley Football Conference recogntion and was a  third-team All-America honors from The Sports Network after sharing the team lead with four interceptions during the Jackrabbits' playoff season in 2013. He also totaled 52 tackles, a sack, a team-high four forced fumbles and a blocked kick. Wright also was named to the Allstate Good Works Team by the American Football Coaches Association earlier in the 2013 season.

Wright joins offensive lineman Bryan Witzmann and defensive end/linebacker Doug Peete, who both agreed to terms with the Houston Texans on Saturday.
