Plath Honored by National Organization

BROOKINGS, S.D.—South Dakota State senior-to-be Alli Plath (Onalaska, Wis.) was named Wednesday to the 2013-14 Women’s Golf Coaches Association’s All-American Scholar Team.

Plath, who was one of 664 women’s collegiate golfers from NCAA Division I, II and III, posted a 3.66 GPA in early childhood education and had a 81.77 scoring average this past season over 26 rounds.

Plath is the 16th Jackrabbits named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team since 2004-05 and the seventh consecutive. Junior-to-be Sydney MacDonald (Calgary, Alberta) was honored last year.

To be selected, nominees must have a minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. Plath was among 21 Summit League student-athletes honored on the team.
