The College Swimming Coaches Association of America released its 2014 Spring Scholar All-America team rankings with the South Dakota State men ranked among nation's best, coming in 10th, while the women were ranked 28th.

This is the highest-ever ranking for the Jackrabbit men.

"The coaching staff is extremely proud of both the men's and women's GPA and their ranking among other Division I programs," head coach Brad Erickson said.

The SDSU men boasted a 3.34 GPA, while the women compiled a 3.47 GPA.

"We put a lot of emphasis on success in the classroom, as well as the pool. Our student-athletes should be very proud of their hard work. We would also like to thank and recognize Jennie Sell, our athletic academic advisor, for her efforts in keeping our student-athletes on track," Erickson added.

The Spring Team Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the semester coinciding with the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
