BROOKINGS, S.D.—South Dakota State sophomore Hallie Getz won the 52nd Annual South Dakota Golf Association Amateur Championship Sunday at Central Valley Golf Course in Hartford while teammate Megan Mingo finished second.

Getz (Pierre) shot a three-round 225 to win the title. She fired a 76 in the first and third rounds and a tournament-low 73 in the second round Saturday.

Mingo (Yankton) finished five shots behind Getz, shooting a three-round 230.  After firing a first-round 79 to open the championship, the sophomore shot a 76 Saturday and a 75 Sunday.

Earlier this month, Getz and Mingo captured the 28th Annual SDGA Two-Woman Championship at the Hillsview Golf Course in Pierre. The duo shot a 135 (68-67).

The Jackrabbits open the 2014 fall season Sept. 7-8 traveling to Normal, Ill., for the Redbird Invitational.
