ELMHURST, Ill. – South Dakota State’s Michael Krsnak was honored Tuesday by the Summit League with this weeks Cross Country Male Athlete of the Week.
Krsnak is sharing the honors with Kansas City’s Cosma Ayabel.
Krsnak won the honors with his performance last Saturday at the Roy Griak Invitational. At the Griak Invite Krsnak finished the meet in fifth with a time of 24:48.
Krsnak’s time at the Griak is his personal best at the Griak, beating his mark 25:18.
Last Saturday Krsnak and the
Jackrabbits took seventh at the Roy Griak Invite, ten points ahead of Augustana
College.
This is Krsnak’s third Athlete of the
Week award of his career and the second of this season. His other award came after his win at the NDSU Dual.
The Jackrabbits will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Chile Pepper Invite in Fayetteville, Ark.
