ELMHURST, Ill. - In the annual preseason track and field poll both the men's and women's teams have been picked third.
Last season the men finished fifth and the women claimed fourth.
The Jackrabbits are returning four men and women each that have been named to the All-League team.
Last year Justin Carson, Jared Foote, Michael Krsnak were named All-League. Luke Leischner redshirted last season, but was named All-League in the 2010 indoor season.
Returning All-League selections for the women are: Brooke Garner, McKenzie Johnson, Kali Olson and Mary Wirth.
North Dakota State University was pegged as the favorite for both the men and women. The SDSU men recieved 19 points, seven in front of Kansas City. The SDSU women received 37 points, eight in front of Kansas City.
The Jackrabbits will open up their season on Dec. 8, at the NDSU Holiday Open in Fargo, N.D.
