The South Dakota State women's soccer team added an all-conference transfer for the upcoming season.

Sydney Tobin, an all-NJCAA Region 1 forward and center back, transferred to SDSU from College of the Canyons (Calif.).

Tobin scored nine goals and assisted on three more in 2011 before moving to center back for the 2012 season. Tobin was named all-conference both seasons.

The Cougars finished the 2012 season ranked No. 6 in the NJCAA national rankings, according to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

"We are very excited to have Sydney joining our team for the spring semester," head coach Lang Wedemeyer said. "She comes from one of the best junior college teams in the country and her versatility as a player will be great for our team."
