The South Dakota State men's and women's tennis teams were tabbed fifth and sixth, respectively, in preseason polls.
Kansas City led both the men's and women's preseason poll, both by three points or less. It is the first time since 2009 that both the men's and women's tennis teams from the same school were voted as the preseason favorites.
SDSU men's tennis received 11 points in the six-team poll, one behind fourth-place Western Illinois and five behind third-place Fort Wayne. The men's selection comes on the heels of the Jackrabbits first trip to the Summit League tournament in school history.
Kansas City men's tennis received four first-place votes, while second-place IUPUI received one.
SDSU women's tennis received 23 points in the eight-team poll, one behind fifth-place Oakland and five behind fourth-place IUPUI.
Kansas City women's tennis received five first-place votes, while second-place Fort Wayne received two and fourth-place IUPUI received one.
