Caron part of two school records on day two

ROCHERSTER, Mich. -- The South Dakota State University women's swimming and diving team broke two school records on day two of the Summit League Championships on Thursday.

Junior Kaylin Caron was part of two school records on the day for the Jackrabbits.

The 200 freestyle relay of Devonne Dalin, Shauna Foor, Nicole Grimit and Kaylin Caron finished fourth with a school record time of 1:35.41. The previous record of 1:36.26 was set at last year's championships.

Kaylin Caron won the consolation championship in the 50 freestyle with a school record time of 23.91 seconds.

Olivia Olesiak placed third in three-meter diving with a score of 229.85.

Andre Budahl finished fifth in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:02.10.

The women are in fifth after day two with 143 points. The championships continue Friday morning with prelims.
