South Dakota State’s Nate Wolters added to his already full trophy case this week with a trio of awards. It started on Monday, when Lute Olson All-America Team honors, continued on Tuesday with a National Associate of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 12 first team selection and culminated on Friday with an NABC Third Team All-America selection.

“We’re very proud of all that Nate has accomplished,” head coach Scott Nagy said of the latest round of honors. “His dedication and passion for the game of basketball has certainly paid off for him and our basketball team.  He’s very deserving of these awards and we are anxious to see what the future holds for him.”

Already a finalist for the Lute Olson Award, an honor presented annually to the nation's top Division I player who played at least two seasons with his respective team, Wolters joins 20 other players on the Lute Olson All-America Team.

Wolters picks up his second NABC All-District 12 honor this year, after taking home the same honor following his junior season in 2011-12.

Rounding out the most recent string of awards, Wolters becomes the first player in Summit League history to garner NABC Division I All-America third team honors, His recognition also ties for the highest men’s basketball All-America honor in league history, equaling the third team status collected by Valparaiso’s Bryce Drew as a Basketball Times All-America selection in 1997-98.

The latest three honors come after Wolters already earned USBWA All-District VI honors and a Breitbart Sports All-American nod earlier in the season to go along with his numerous league honors.
