Jacks fall at New Mexico State, 3-0
LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The South Dakota State volleyball team came up on the short end of a 3-0 contest in their final match at the UTEP/New Mexico State Invitational on Saturday, falling to the host Aggies by the set scores of 25-18, 25-18 and 25-9.
The loss drops the Jackrabbits to 2-10 on the season, while the Aggies improve to 5-7.
Wagner Larson set career-highs in the match with three solo blocks and seven total blocks after tying a career mark with four block assists, as SDSU out-blocked the Aggies 9-1.
Desiree Scott led all players with 10 kills in the match. New Mexico State’s Bradley Nash led all players in the match with 13 digs.
The Jackrabbits return to action on Saturday, when they open Summit League play at North Dakota State. SDSU and the Bison get things started in Fargo, N.D., at 7 p.m.
