Jackrabbits fall to Cyclones

BROOKINGS, S.D. -- The South Dakota State women's swimming and diving lost to Iowa State 183-112 on Friday night at the HPER Center Pool.

Junior Emily Campbell won the only event for the Jackrabbits on the night in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:22.21.

The 200 medley relay of McKenna Shallberg, Campbell, Nicole Grimit and Devonne Dalin finished second with a time of 1:49.98.

Emma Gaulke-Janowski in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 10:51.19.

Dalin finished second in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly with times 24.74 and 59.33 seconds, respectively.

Olivia Olesiak finished second in 3-meter diving with a score of 234.68.

Julia Bodnaruk finished second in the 100 freestyle with times of 54.35 seconds.

Elizabeth Bucholz finished second in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:14.64.

Alecia Winston finished second in 1-meter diving with a score of 228.60.

The 400 freestyle relay of Dalin, Selina Gilbertson, Grimit and Kaylin Caron with a time of 3:36.70.

The women's swimming and diving team will next compete at home on Oct. 25 against Northern Iowa.
