EAU CLAIRE, Wis. -- The South Dakota State men's tennis team was a No. 6 singles win away from a sweep of Sunday's counterpart, Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

"Today was definitely a learning day for us," head coach Michael Engdahl said. "We pride ourselves in our ability to adapt and today was harder than usual to adapt to our surroundings and our opponent's playing style."

Parker Lawley, Lovro Curcija, Henrique Pereira, Mateus Moreira, Gary Notkin and Lucas Pereira all picked up wins on the day in singles action. Jonny Higham was the lone Rabbit to take a loss.

"It was a match we will definitely grow from," Engdahl added.

SDSU also swept doubles action.

The Jacks will return to the court Feb. 15 at St. Francis.
