Men's tennis drops a pair over weekend

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The South Dakota State men's tennis team fell to Marquette Saturday night, 6-1. Henrique Pereira was the lone Jackrabbit to pick up a win, as he defeated his MU foe, 7-6, 6-0 in No. 4 singles.

Andrea Boglic fell, 6-2, 7-6 in the No. 1 position, while Parker Lawley and Lovro Curcija fell, 6-0, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-1, respectively, in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots.

Mateus Moreira and Gary Notkin also dropped their respective single's match.

In doubles, Lawley/Moreira and Pereira Notkin both fell 8-3, while Boglic/Curcija fell 8-2


GREEN BAY, Wis. -- SDSU was swept by UW-Green Bay on Sunday, 7-0.

Boglic was down 4-1 in the No. 1 position before retiring. Lawley fell at No. 2, 6-1, 6-0 and Curcija did the same at the No. 3 spot, 7-6, 7-2.

Pereira, Moreira and Notkin also dropped their matches against the Phoenix.

In doubles, Lawley/Moreira fell, 8-2, while Notkin and Lucas Pereira fell, 8-3. Boglic/Curcija's match went unfinished, but they trailed, 6-4.

SDSU (6-5 overall) will return to the courts next in Orlando, Fla., on March 10.
