KELLER, Texas-South Dakota State’s Hudson Carpenter is tied for fifth and the Jacks sixth after two rounds of the 2014 Summit League Men’s Golf Championship at the Sky Creek Golf Club in Keller, Texas.

SDSU shot a 311 (306-311=617). IUPUI leads the field with a 592 at the par-72, 6,953-yard layout.

Carpenter (Stillwater, Minn.), who was tied for 12th after the first round, shot a 73 (75-73=148). He collected birdies on the 3rd, 13th, and 15th holes. The senior was one over on the front nine and shot par on the back nine.

Senior Lukas Davison (Fargo, N.D.) shot a 76 (765-76=151) to finish tied for 12th. He was three over after the first nine and shot par on the back nine.

Freshman Grant Smith (Des Moines, Iowa) is tied for 28th after shooting an 80 (78-80=158). Classmate Trevor Tobin (Brandon) fired an 82 (78-82=160) and sits tied for 33.

Sophomore Dylan Baker (Eden Prairie, Minn.) was a one over for the day before suffering an injury that knocked him out of the round (78-0=78).
