Basketball broadcasts outlined
A change in Summit League scheduling also will mean a change in the way men's and women's basketball broadcasts are carried on the Jackrabbit Sports Network during the 2012-13 season.
With the Summit League moving to mirror scheduling in which the men's and women's teams often will play the same opponent at opposite sites on the same night, the fact that some game times may overlap necessitated the change in coverage.
To accommodate full broadcasts of all games, the Jackrabbit Sports Network essentially will be split into two separate networks. Men's broadcasts will continue to originate from flagship WNAX 570 AM in Yankton, with the following affiliates:
• KJJQ 910 AM, Brookings;
• KSDR 1480 AM, Watertown;
• KGFX 1060 AM, Pierre; and
• KORN 1490 AM, Mitchell.
The women's broadcasts this season will originate from WNAX 104.1 FM (The Wolf) and also be carried on KBRK 93.7 FM in Brookings and KGFX 92.7 FM in Pierre. The network designations will go into effect starting with the Nov. 1 exhibition doubleheader against Black Hills State.
Audio broadcasts of all games will be carried live via the Jackrabbit Extra subscription service at GoJacks.com. Video streaming of all home games and select road games also will be available through the Jackrabbit Extra -- check listings at GoJacks.com in the weeks leading up to the events.
