Graduated: 1981
Inducted: Oct. 13, 2012

Brad Reynolds became the first South Dakota State swimmer to be inducted into the Jackrabbit Sports Hall of Fame, joining the prestigious group during ceremonies at the Performing Arts Center in the fall of 2012.

Reynolds dominated the butterfly events as a member of the Jackrabbit men's swimming and diving team from 1977-80. He swept the 100- and 200-yard butterfly events at the North Central Conference Championships all four years and added a title in the 200 individual medley in 1978. He also swam on three conference-championship relay teams: the 400 freestyle relay in 1978 and 1979 and the 400 medley relay in 1979. After helping lead the Jackrabbits to the NCC team title in 1979, Reynolds finished as runner-up in the 200 butterfly at the NCAA Division II Championships.

Reynolds set numerous school records, with his mark of 1 minute, 54.80 seconds in the 200 butterfly standing for more than 30 years before being broken in 2011.
