Unplayable field conditions due to the late-arriving spring forced South Dakota State to cancel its season-opening softball doubleheader against Colorado Christian scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, at Jackrabbit Softball Stadium on the SDSU campus.

The Jackrabbits still hope to host their first Summit League series of the season on Friday, March 28, a doubleheader against Omaha starting at 2 p.m., but may be forced to make further changes to the schedule due to cold temperatures and field conditions.
