NEW ORLEANS – The South Dakota State men’s cross country team is now ranked 11th in the Midwest Region according to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Jackrabbits were ranked 12th in the USTFCCCA Preseason Poll.

SDSU is the only Summit League school ranked on the men’s side in the Midwest Region.

The Jacks have competed in two meets this year (Bison Invite and the Oz Memorial). Joel Reichow won the Bison Invite and took second at the Oz Memorial.

Reichow also won back-to-back Summit League Athlete of the Week awards for his finishes at both events.

The Jackrabbits are back in action on Sept. 28 at the Griak Invitational in Falcon Heights, Minn. The University of Minnesota is the host for the annual Griak Invitational.
