RECORDS
KANSAS 3-4-1
NORTH DAKOTA 1-7-0
SOUTH DAKOTA STATE 4-2-2

KANSAS

The Jayhawks are coming into the weekend with a record of 3-4-1. Kansas has lost the past three games by a combined score of 7-0. KU began their year with a 1-0 loss to recently ranked Arkansas.

Caroline Kastor is leading the Jayhawks attack with three goals and two assists. Kastor made the All-Big 12 Second Team last year. She ranked 17th in NCAA last year in game-winning goals (five).

Kaitlyn Stroud has played all eight games in net for the Jayhawks. She has a Goals Against Average of 1.22 and has made 34 saves.

Kansas leads the all-time series 2-0-0. This is the first time the Jayhawks have visited Brookings.

NORTH DAKOTA

North Dakota will host South Dakota at home on Friday before they head down to Brookings to face the Jackrabbits on Sunday. Going into this weekend’s action, North Dakota recently lost to Boise State 3-1.

UND won their lone game this year against in-state rival North Dakota State. UND topped the Bison 4-2 last week.

Zoe Foster is the leading goal-scorer for North Dakota (two).

The all-time series is tied at 3-3-0. This is the third meeting between SDSU and UND at the Division I level.

SOUTH DAKOTA STATE

The Jackrabbits are riding a six-game unbeaten streak mainly due to the play of their defense. The SDSU defense has allowed only one goal during the past six games.

Diana Potterveld scored two goals last weekend against Drake and Northern Iowa, both proved to be the game-winners.

Alyssa Brazil is leading the team with eight points (three goals and two assists). Brazil and Potterveld both rank in the top-five in The Summit League in assists.

Nicole Inskeep won her second Summit League Defensive Player of the Week award for her shutout wins against the Bulldogs and the Panthers.

UP NEXT

The Jackrabbits will not compete next weekend, but will begin conference play on Oct. 4. SDSU will travel to Western Illinois and IUPUI to start the 2013 Summit League schedule.

The Jacks will play at Western Illinois on Oct. 4 at 3 p.m. and IUPUI on Oct. 6 at 12 p.m.
