Jackrabbits win second consecutive SDSU Classic

The South Dakota State men’s cross country team won the SDSU Classic for the second year in a row. The Jackrabbits took three of the top five spots.

Trent Lusignan won his second consecutive SDSU Classic with his final time of 24:52.20. SDSU Alumni Michael Krsnak took the second spot with his overall time of 25:14.39. Less than two seconds later, Anthony Bongard (25:16.26) crossed the finish line to take third.

Joel Reichow rounded out the top-five for the Jackrabbits with his time of 25:23.73. Drew Kraft was the fourth Jackrabbit to finish in the top-10. Kraft ran a time of 25:50.80 to take eighth place.

Just outside the top-10 was Brendan Sage (11th). Sage completed the 8k run with his final time of 25:54.13.

Andrew Thies crossed the finish line at the 26:16.52 mark to finish in 17th. In 30th was Kipp Kinsley with his overall time of 26:41.50.

The Jackrabbits are off until the Bradley Classic on Oct. 18. The Bradley Classic takes place in Peoria, Ill.
