SCOTTSDALE, Ariz – South Dakota State sophomore reiner Raivenne Scott scored a 60 in Saturday’s inaugural Sun Circuit Shootout in Scottsdale, Ariz., but fell to South Carolina’s Layla Choate, who scored a 64.5 and advanced in the bracketed event.

“It was great being a part of this inaugural event, and I hope we’re back next year,” head coach Megan Rossiter said.

A Cornelius, Ore, native, Scott owns a 7-0-1 record in NCEA competition this season, and earned one MOP award when she carded a season-high 76 at Baylor on Sept. 28.

The Jackrabbits return to action on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the DeHaan Equestrian Center when they host Minnesota-Crookston at 10 a.m.
