The South Dakota State men’s basketball team accepted an invitation to play in the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) on Sunday, and open the tournament on Wednesday against the Old Dominion Monarchs out of Conference USA in Norfolk, Va., at 7 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. CT.

“Were obviously very excited about the invitation to the CBI Tournament, We feel like this speaks highly of our program to play in our third postseason tournament tin a row,” head coach Scott Nagy said. “I’m very proud of our players and excited for our seniors to get another chance to play.”

This marks the third straight postseason appearance for the Jackrabbits after representing The Summit League at the NCAA Tournament in each of the last two seasons.

The Jackrabbits enter the tournament with a 19-12 record on the season, one win away from their third straight 20-win season, 23rd 20-win season in school history and the 11th 20-win season for coach Nagy.

The Monarchs enter the tournament with a 16-17 record after falling to Middle Tennessee State in the second round of the C-USA Tournament on Thursday.

Ticket information for Wednesday’s first-ever meeting between the Jackrabbits and Monarchs can be found on GoJacks.com on Monday morning, or by calling the Jackrabbit Ticket Office at 1-866-GoJacks

A 16 team, single elimination tournament up until the championship series, which features a best of three series, the College Basketball Invitational plays all of its games at campus sites.
