JONESBORO, Ark. — Led by senior Hudson Carpenter, the South Dakota State men’s golf team turned in a one-under par second round to help it finish sixth at the par-72, 6,565-yard layout at the 19th annual ASU Red Wolf Intercollegiate at the RidgePointe Country Club.

The Jacks shot a 601 (314-287) after two rounds, while Arkansas State leads the field with a 580 (285-295).

Carpenter (Stillwater, Minn.) shot a five-over 76 on the first 18 holes and then shot a five-under 67 in the second round to finish tied for second with a 143. He is two shots behind leader Easton Key of Arkansas State (141).

Freshman Grant Smith (Des Moines, Iowa) is tied for 22nd after shooting a 150 with rounds of 78 and 72.

Sophomore Dylan Baker (Eden Prairie, Minn.) shot a 154 with rounds of 80 and 74 to tie for 48th.

Senior Lukas Davison (Fargo, N.D.) shot a 155 (80-75) to tie for 54th and freshman Trevor Tobin (Brandon) fired a 156 (82-74) to tie for 62nd.

Third-round play continues Tuesday.
