BROOKINGS, S.D.— South Dakota State junior Austin Sitter finished tied for ninth at the 44th Annual South Dakota Golf Association Amateur Championship Sunday at Bakker Crossing Golf Course in Sioux Falls.

Sitter (Sioux Falls) shot a three-round 212, firing first and third-round 71s and a 70 Saturday.

Also participating in the championship, sophomore Ian Rinken (Sioux Falls) shot a 215 (72-74-69), sophomore Trevor Tobin (Brandon) a 226 (75-73-78) and freshman-to-be Michael Duch (Aberdeen) a 228 (75-75-78).

The Jackrabbits open their fall season Sept. 1-2 traveling to Sheboygan, Wis., to play in the Whistling Straits Intercollegiate.
